The peoples lawyer and the next Othaya MP.

Controversial lawyer Wahome Thuku is set to become the next Othaya member of Parliament. The lawyer who has been very vocal against the impeachment of the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has endeared himself to the electorate .

The current Othaya member of parliament Hon Michael Wambugu Wainaina  who voted  in favor of the removal of the DP has become an enemy of the people and all indications points towards his exit from the position. Wahome Thuku has also been a great defender of the less privileged moving from court to court in defense of the people  who cannot afford to hire lawyers to represent them.

Wahome was hailed by netizens after he successfully rescued mzee Christopher Mahiri Maroga after mzee was wrongfully detained at Makongeni police station and his lorry impounded. It was alleged that the officers were asking for twenty thousand bribe which mzee could not raise. Mzee was presented in court and charged and later released with cash bail of 130,000 which the controversial lawyer raised within two hours from his facebook supporters who were following the case.

Many other cases followed and the lawyer has been at the forefront  representing his client pro bono.  If  Wahome Thuku decides to vie for the Othaya seat, he might actually become the next Othaya member of parliament.
