Cain and Abel

The brotherly affection in public betweeen the Prime cabinet secretary hon Musalia Mudavadi and the speaker of the national assembly hon Moses Wetangula is quite admirable but behind the curtains, there is more than meets the eye.
Musalia Mudavadi is perceived to be the defacto leader of the Luhya community but when it comes to muscle on the ground, the speaker of the National assembly Moses Wetangula has been able to rally more numbers than Hon Musalia Mudavadi, Both hold high and influential positions in the Government with Musalia being seen as the blue eyed boy for the president.
Hon Musalia seems to be contented with what he got in Government with most of his supporters crying out that he abandoned them when he got to Government. On the other hand, Moses Wetangula is said to be a man who has been able to hold the hands of his supporters and recently, he has been holding meetings at his Bungoma residence trying to consolidate his Luhya base.
While Musalia willingly and hurriedly folded his Party to join UDA, Wetangula has been consolidating his base in effort to strengthen his party in readiness for the 2027 elections. The brotherly smiles in public hides away the intense battle to control the Luhya vote and its just a matter of time before someone gets stabbed in the back.
