Between a Rock and a hard place

Nominated senator Karen Nyamu will be hard placed in the coming week to choose between her friend deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and her loyalty to the party. The deputy president has been seen on several occasions with senator Nyamu and even behind the scenes, the two had struck a very cordial working relationship.

Nyamu who hails from the Mt Kenya region will be hard placed to support her party against the growing wave of resistance towards the party in Mt Kenya. Nominated senators owe their position to the party and are bound to support their party in any decision the party makes. The controversial senator will be keen not to go against her party especially after she underwent disciplinary action after her escapades in Dubai.

The Senator will also be keen not to upset her boss President William Ruto and especially after he pointed her out as one of the leaders he has had to sit down and give a talk about how to behave in public. When all is said and done, Senator Nyamu will have to make a choice and any decision she makes will have a serious repercussions towards her political career in the future
