Mt Kenyas only Hope.

For along time, Raila Odinga has been the uniting factor in many elections and especially in Mt Kenya Region. He has been a man loved and hated in equal measures. Many people in Mt Kenya have always voted to make sure that he does not become President.

During the last General election, a sitting president was not able to convince his people to vote for his candidate just because the candidate was none other than Raila Odinga. So deep was the hatred towards Raila that Mt Kenya decided to vote for President Ruto and refused to listen to pleas from Uhuru Kenyatta to support Raila.

Fast forward, Mt Kenya regions finds itself in a situation whereby the man they have hated for many years may be their only hope to remain relevant politically. They view Raila Odinga as the only man capable of removing President Ruto in power in the coming elections.

A Ruto/ Gachagua ticket more and more seems acceptable in Mt Kenya region, something they would not have even considered two years back . Raila brings with him people from Western, Nyanza, Coast and together with Gachagua, they would make a formidable team capable of sending President Ruto home in the coming electons. It remains to be seen whether Raila would accept to run for President one last time and whether he would agree to team up with Gachagua.
