We are being shortchanged, Mt Kenya East MPs cries out!

Imenti Central MP Moses Kirima has revealed that they voted out hon Rigathi Gachagua with the hope that one of their own Hon Kithure Kindiki will be appointed the deputy president. He claimed that they were promised the position and agreed to vote out Rigathi since Cs Kindiki was familiar with problems facing Meru residents. He is however surprised at the turn of events unfolding. The MP has noted with a lot of concern the surge of interest from various political figures vying for the position

” We Meru Mps signed that impeachment on the strength that Kindiki is going to be appointed as the next DP. But from the time we signed the impeachment, things are not as they were. There is alot of lobbying from societies and tribes. I am concerned because things are not straightforward. It should be as it was, the number two should take the place of number one who have been impeached. By the time i said Gachagua would not be impeached, i wanted to be remembered, if it were not for Kindiki, i would not have voted out Gachagua”, stated Kirima.

The Mp is said to be watching the turn of events carefully and seems to be re thinking the position he took on the vote and is urging the Senators to vote wisely.
