The New King of Mugithi

Mugithi artiste Anthony Kamau Ngata, aka Tonny Young, is giving mugithi king Samidoh Muchoki a run for his money, the young man has been holding thrilling shows all over the country and became the first Mugithi artist to perform in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

This historic event, which took place on Friday, March 1, was a significant turning point in Tony’s career and the history of Kenyan music. Samidoh who has held the title of the King of Mugithi for quite sometime now has been embroiled in controversies revolving around his wife Eddy Nderitu and nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.

He recently fired his long time serving manager and friend Moses Marite and all this have had a negative impact in his music career. On the other hand Tonny young has been making consistent steps, releasing hits after hits and most notably his recent hit Mbeca which has taken the market by storm. Samidoh has gradually been fading away and as things stand, Mugithi fans are getting ready to crown their new King of Mugithi.
